a sewing machine

an old and lengthy dream

a never-ending thread and seam

that seams its way into a means

------so often if seems

that where you've been

is sewn into //reality

for it's the possibility 

not the actuality

that actually matters

a sewing machine

and here I am trying to figure out

what it all means

place and person

those torn seams; nurse them

and stitch the pieces
back together again

when your world is torn apart

pick up a needle and thread
                           and just start
